Missoula, MT – Sun Mountain congratulates Jenny Shin, the 17-year-old Duramed FUTURES Tour rookie, on earning her first professional victory last week at The International at Concord. Shin carded consistent rounds of 69, 67 and 69 and got the birdie she needed on the final hole to secure the victory. Sun Mountain is the official golf bag and outerwear sponsor of the Duramed FUTURES Tour sponsoring members of the Sun Mountain Players Advisory Council and outfitting the Duramed FUTURES Tour road staff with outerwear. To learn more about Sun Mountain products or to find a retailer visit www.sunmountain.com or call 800-227-9224.
Shin carried her Sun Mountain lightweight golf bag to a one-stroke victory over Tiffany Joh who made a final round charge carding a score of 65. The final round suspense lasted right up to the last stroke with Shin needing to sink a four-footer for birdie on the 18th to get the victory.
“I birdied the 18th hole in Saturday’s round, so I felt like I could birdie that hole again,” said Shin on Sunday afternoon. “I guess July is the month for me,” continued Shin, who won the 2006 U.S. Girls’ Junior Championship almost exactly four years earlier in North Carolina.
Shin carries the Sun Mountain Women’s Superlight 3.5 stand bag and wears Sun Mountain Rainflex outerwear.
